Nestled on the Gulf of Mexico, Mobile is called the Port City. Founded in 1702 by French brothers Bienville and Iberville Le Moyne as the capital of the Louisiana Territory, the Port City is one of the 14 oldest cities in the United States. Mobile is the birthplace of Mardi Gras and a departure point for Carnival Cruise Line cruises.
